Wu honored as Fellow of two prestigious engineering societies
The University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Engineering proudly shares that Dr. Fangxiang Wu (PhD'04), Professor and Graduate Chair of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Biomedical Engineering, has recently been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Fellow of the UK Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), recognizing his exceptional contributions and sustained achievements in the field of engineering.
The University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Engineering proudly shares that Dr. Fangxiang Wu (PhD'04), Professor and Graduate Chair of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Biomedical Engineering, has recently been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Fellow of the UK Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), recognizing his exceptional contributions and sustained achievements in the field of engineering.
Dr. Wu has been elevated to IEEE Fellow. This prestigious recognition is reserved for less than 0.1% of IEEE's voting members annually and signifies the highest grade of IEEE membership. Dr. Wu's IEEE Fellowship acknowledges his contributions to computational intelligence techniques for biomedical data analytics. Becoming an IEEE Fellow highlights his innovative work in applying computational intelligence to enhance biomedical data analysis, a testament to his expertise and dedication to advancing the field.
In addition to the IEEE Fellow honor, Dr. Wu's elevation to IET Fellow, the highest grade of membership within IET, acknowledges his high levels of achievement over years. This distinguished title is awarded to individuals who contributed to the profession through leadership, responsibility, influence, innovation and beyond.
